Question

Is there a collection of knowledge which provides links to a selection of documents that are available for uninstalling IBM® Rational® ClearCase® on Linux®, Solaris®, Microsoft® Windows®, AIX® and HP-UX®, along with a reference for removing ClearCase updates?

Answer

This knowledge collection is intended to help remove Rational ClearCase from any of the supported platforms:

  • 1302974 - System Requirements for ClearCase 7.1

  • 1239315 - System Requirements for ClearCase 7.x

  • 1136950 - System Requirements for ClearCase 2003.06.xx

The following information identifies the platforms for which uninstall documents have been created for, as well as a document that provides information for removing ClearCase updates.

Note: ClearCase 7.1 introduced the use of the IBM Installation Manager that enables you to install, update, roll back, and remove product installations. Be sure to check the versions identified in each of the documents referenced below to be sure it applies to your installed ClearCase version.

If you plan on upgrading to ClearCase 7.1, refer to IBM Rational MSI Uninstall Tool for information about a tool that can be used to uninstall multiple IBM Rational Team Products in preparation for the upgrade.

Uninstall Linux

Manually uninstall Rational ClearCase from a Red Hat® Linux or SUSE® Linux server by removing the installed binaries and start-up scripts, see technote 1257486.


Uninstall Solaris

Manually uninstall Rational ClearCase from a Sun® Solaris server by removing the installed binaries and start-up scripts, see technote 1134883.


Uninstall Microsoft Windows

  • Manually uninstall Rational ClearCase from a Microsoft® Windows® host, including directory trees and registry entries, see technote 1179647.


Uninstall AIX

Manually uninstall IBM® Rational® ClearCase® from an IBM AIX® server by removing the installed binaries and start-up scripts, see technote 1134199.


Uninstall HP-UX

Manually uninstall Rational ClearCase from an HP-UX server by removing the installed binaries and start-up scripts, see technote 1127418.


Uninstall ClearCase Updates
