Error description

  • In the Streamname view only the streamname itself honors the
quick filter value for an equal filter. All other fields
including "Autodel" as customer reports does not work with the
    quick filter values.
When examining the code in CPSM method NQSN, I can see that the
CRITERIA string is passed in (we set NQSN_CRITERIA_X existence
bit), but the NQSN method then calls the NQGR method to obtain
the streams, however it did not pass the NQSN_CRITERIA block to
NQGR, so NQGR just returns all the records.

    ****************************************************************
When a request is sent to MAS to retrieve installed MVS log
streams, method EYU0NQSN (NQSN - INQUIRE STREAMNAME Data) is
driven, and it calls generic receiver module EYU0NQGR to perform
    the INQUIRE process.

Unfortunately, the NQSN criteria was not passed to NQGR
properly. As a result, NQGR returns all the records to NQSN
    without filtering.

Problem conclusion

  • Module EYU0NQSN has been updated to pass CRITERIA to the generic
    receiver NQGR.
