  • When processing a GET request that the length of the
    Path + Query String reaches 236 characters or above, the
    DFHWS-URI-QUERY container will be overlaid and message
    DFHPI0997(empty DFHRESPONSE container returned from a handler.)
    will be issued.
    Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s): DFHPI0997, URL length,
    DFHWS-URI-QUERY, KIXREVSJH.

Problem summary

    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFHPI0997 when a web service is called  *
    *                      with a URL longer than 236 characters.  *
    ****************************************************************
    A HTTP GET request containing a query string is sent to a JSON
    web service.  If the total length of the path and query string
    is greater than 236 characters then you may get a DFHPI0997
    error, or corruption of the DFHWS-URIMAPPATH and
    DFHWS-URI-QUERY containers.
    

Problem conclusion

  • CICS pipeline processing has been changed to handle URLs up to
    32K in length.
