• When CICS receives a body on a JSON RESTful DELETE request, it
  returns a 500 Internal Server Error, with a
  NullPointerException message in the response payload.

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: JSON web service receive a HTTP DELETE  *
  *                      request with a body then the request    *
  *                      fails with a HTTP 500 Internal Server   *
  *                      Error and response saying a             *
  *                      NullPointerException occurred.          *
  ****************************************************************
  A HTTP DELETE request with a body is sent to a RESTful JSON web
  service.  The CICS pipeline does not attempt to process any body
  associated with a DELETE request.  The presence of the body
  causes CICS code to suffer a NullPointerException and a 500
  Internal Server Error is returned to the client.
  

Problem conclusion

• The CICS JSON processing code has been changed to tolerate a
  body on a DELETE request.  The contents of the body must match
  the JSON schema used by this service.
