  • CPU increase for IPIC workloads after application of UI54085.
This is caused by additional, unnecessary change_mode calls
to switch to the SO TCB.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CPU increase for IPIC CICS regions.     *
****************************************************************
After applying PI99580 a noticeable increase in CPU time of
IPIC workloads is seen. The increase is due to the fact that
extra TCB switches to the SO TCB are happening when they are not
required.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The CICS Web and Sockets domain have been changed to only switch
to the SO TCB to receive IPIC messages when necessary.
