Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFHEX0002 A severe error code X'4E0E' * * has occurred in module DFHXCSCR and * * DFHEX0110 EXCI SDUMP has been taken. * * Dumpcode: APCR02 when CHANNEL and * * CONTAINER are used in a DPL request. * **************************************************************** An EXCI batch job is using a large CHANNEL with multiple CONTAINERs to DPL to a CICS/TS server region. The DPL request is processed by the server program and a response is sent to the client. The CHANNEL response is received by calling DFHXCSCR (DFHAPCR) IMPORT_CHANGED. The IMPORT_CHANGED failed with message DFHEX0002 error code X'4E0E' after one of the CONTAINERs has been extracted from the receive buffer and the remaining data in the buffer is less than a CONTAINER header length (32 bytes). The failure is caused by DFHXCSCR using the buffer length value, XCP_IRP_DLENGTH, instead of the length returned by the DFHIRP PULL request, SCCBDLTH. Additional keywords: msgDFHEX0002 EX0002 abendEX0002
Problem conclusion
DFHXCSCR has been changed to use the returned length value from DFHIRP after a PULL request, SCCBDLTH. In addition the DFHXCSCR ESTAE, xcscrest, and the RETRY ESTAE, xcscrest_retry, routines have been amended to correctly restore the LIFO storage address when called.
