Error description

  • In DFHMQTRU, the first time in processing involves initialising
the LOT and it also sets the uowid in the lot (i think for debug
purposes) and then later it sets the uowid field in the RPL if
    fnewuowid is set.
The else clause on the above IF is empty. Instead, it could
setting fnewUow to drive the existing code lower down
and ensure the new uowid gets moved into the QRPL.

    * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS WMQ users *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFHRM0129 then DFHMQ0318. UOWs could    *
    * not be resolved between CICS and MQ. *
    ****************************************************************
MgDFHRM0129 Intersystem communication failure and then the
DFHMQ0318 message when CICS reconnected to another QMGR.
CICS did not know about the UOWID reported in msgDFHMQ0318 and
so was unable to resolve the UOW.

On the first entry to the TRUE the UOW ID is saved and
    passed to MQ.
When a syncpoint occurs a new UOW ID is created but subsequent
entry to the TRUE will still use the initial UOWID.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

Comments

  • DFHMQTRU is changed to check that the UOW is the same on a
syncpoint on subsequent entry and if yes will pass the new UOW
    ID to MQ.
