APAR status

Error description

  • When CICS issues message DFHSO0123 with return code 467 it also
    issues message DFHSO0002 with code x'080C' and a system dump is
    taken.
    
    The DFHSO0002 message and dump are unnecessary for this client
    related SSL error.
    

Local fix

  • The DFHSO0002 message is not issued and a
    system dump is not taken.

    A TCPIPSERVICE in CICS is configured to use SSL. An SSL
    handshake fails with response code 467
    (GSK_ERR_MISSING_SIGNATURE_ALGORITHM). CICS treats code 467 as
    a severe error and issues message DFHSO0123 to report it. In
    addition, DFHSO0002 code(x'080C') is issued with a system dump.
    Response code 467 should be treated as a client side error,
    message DFHSO0002 and the system dump is unnecessary for this
    type of error.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHSOSE has been changed to only issue message DFHSO0123 if the
    secure handshake fails with response code 467. The DFHSO0002
    message is not issued and a system dump is not taken.
