Error description

  • Your CPSM CMAS is attempting to import a workload,
when it issues the following messages:
EYUWI0082E WLM Workload query process failed for
    workload(XXXX), CICSplex(XXXXXXXX) - directed to CMAS (XXXXXXX)
    EYUWM0401E Workload Specification(XXXXX) failed to
    install for CICSplex(XXXXXXXX), workload(XXXXX) - initiated by
    join of router (XXXXXXX)
After these messages the routing region does not join the
workload since it is not able to be installed. You have to
restart the region to prompt the workload to be reinstalled.

A MAS region is a routing region in a workload. The MAS starts
and connects to a CMAS, causing that CMAS to need to import the
    workload.

Method WMQM executes to process the import.
Another CMAS in the network is identified as holding a copy of
the workload, and an attempt is made to latch and import the
workload. During this process it is determined that the CMAS the
workload is being imported from has terminated the workload.
The import process is restarted. A new search is performed for
another CMAS from which to import this workload, and a new
candidate is found. During this window, the original workload
was completely terminated, and a new CMAS re-built the workload
from scratch and became the new owner. The import process (WMQM)
determines that this has occurred, but due to a logic error
caused by reuse of an internal storage area, a locking request
(WSCL) is issued using the incorrect workload name. This causes
the locking request to fail, and the workload import process is
    terminated.

WMQM issues msgEYUWI0082E followed by msgEYUWI0401E.
+EYUWI0082E <applid> WLM Workload query process failed for
       workload(<workload>), CICSplex(<cicsplex>) - directed to
       CMAS (<targetcmas>).
    +EYUWM0401E <applid> Workload Specification(<workload>) failed
       to install for CICSplex(<cicsplex>), workload(<workload>) -
initiated by join of router (<masname>).

Problem conclusion

  • EYU0WMQM has been updated to correct the logic error.
Similar symptoms may occur for other timing conditions,
such as a valid locking failure.
