Error description

  • Your CICS region has programs issuing EXEC CICS CSD commands.
In this instance an EXEC CICS CSD ALTER command received a
EIBRESP 0119 CSDERR and RESP2 5 which should have resulted in a
DFHCA4859 message to the CSMT transient data destination but
    now message is issued.

DFHAMP runs and the abend handler DFHAMPAB detects a CSDERR
condition and calls DFHAMER to retrieve a DFHCA48nn message
which is later freed by DFHAMP without issuing the message.

    ****************************************************************
When an EXEC CICS CSD command fails with an EIBRESP of 0119
(CSDERR), DFHAMER should issue a DFHMEMEM SEND_MESSAGE
to send a DFHCA48nn message to the CSMT transient data
destination, giving more information about the nature of the
    problem.
Task local storage, DFHDMTLS, contains a flag to indicate
an EXEC CICS CSD request is being processed. For the first
EXEC CICS CSD request made by a task the CSDERR condition can
arise before the flag is set. This causes DFHAMER to treat
the error as if it was a CEDA request. DFHAMER issues
    a DFHMEMEM RETRIEVE_MESSAGE to retrieve a DFHAM48nn message.
Processing for CEDA would subsequently output this message
but the EXEC CICS CSD processing causes it to be discarded.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS has been changed so the task local storage flag, indicating
this is an EXEC CICS CSD request, is always set before executing
code which can return the CSDERR condition. DFHAMER can hence
detect that an EXEC CICS CSD request is being processed and
send the appropriate DFHCA48nn message to CSMT.

The CICS Transaction Server for z/OS Version 5 Release 1
Data Areas, GC34-2849-00, will be updated to add the following
in Table 533, TCA - Task Control Area, after the existing
    TCATSUSP field.
