Error description

  • If an OSGI Activator is used that calls the
CICSExecutorService.runAsCICS to create a new thread during
activation  of the OSGI Bundle, an execption occurs during
the creation of the CICS thread attempting to get the ODR data.

During installation  of an OSGI Bundle the activator method
start() is executed.  If this method attempts to use
CICSExecutorService.runAs() to start another task it will fail
with a RuntimeException and the bundle will fail to become
enabled.

Problem conclusion

  • Updated CICSExecutorService to allow correct execution within
a bundle activator.

Temporary fix

  • FIX AVAILABLE BY PTF ONLY
