**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICSPlex SM V5R1M0 Users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When CICS Explorer 5.2.0.0 or higher is * * used to remove the association between * * a WLMSPEC and a CICS system group * * (LNKSWSCG), the request may fail. * * * * The failure most likely will result in * * the following error messages: * * * * Unable to remove the routing * * association from a system group. * * See the Error Log view for more * * information. * * * * The version of CICS you are connected * * to does not support the API that is * * required to remove the workload * * routing association from a system * * group. You must upgrade your version * * of CICS to complete this task. For * * more details, visit http://... * * * * com.ibm.cics.core.model. * * CICSSystemManagerException: * * com.ibm.cics.sm.comm.sm. * * UnsupportedMethodOverrideException: * * Method override not supported for * * this CICS server version. * * * * If the above messages are displayed, * * examination of the auxtrace files for * * the WUI/CMCI server address space will * * show the following CICS exception trace * * entries: * * * * AP A46D WUXML *EXC* invalidDeleteTag * * AP A217 WUIPG *EXC* badWUPFM * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this * * APAR, all WUI/CMCI severs must be * * restarted. Note that the restarts do not * * need to occur at the same time. * **************************************************************** When the association between a WLMSPEC and a CICS system group is removed, the INHERIT parameter must be passed with the request to indicate whether the CICS systems associated with the group should continue to be associated with the WLMSPEC (INHERIT=KEEP) or should no longer be associated with the WLMSPEC (INHERIT=NONE). Module DFHWUIPG does not support a parameter being passed for this request, which causes the request to fail.
Problem conclusion
DFHWUIPG has been updated to properly support the INHERIT parameter when a request is made through the Explorer to remove the association between a WLMSPEC and a CICS system group.
