PI17412: JAVA UNSIGNED APPLICATION POPUP WARNING OCCURS WHEN STARTING WUI WEB BROWSER

Error description

• You are using Oracle (Sun) Java version 7.51.  You are now
  receiving popup warnings about an 'Unsigned Applet' when you
  try to start the WUI in a web browser.

  In January, Oracle issued security bulletin CVE-2013-0422 which
  changed one of the defaults for the JRE.  The bulletin can be

  This needs to be addressed so the popup warning window is not
  constantly appearing.

Problem conclusion

•    Java applets EYUWUIWATCHDOG, which monitors browser sessions,
  and EYUWUILIGHT, which implements special display options like
  range bars and status lights, were distributed as unsigned CLASS
  files.  These applets have been repackaged in a signed JAR.
