Error description

  • WSDL contains incorrect diacritic (Umlaut trema) characters when
    generated by DFHWS2LS assistant within RDz 9.0 (or RDz 8.5.1.1)

    The PDSCP option is required when running the assistant on
    windows. This controls the encoding of the DFHWS2LS generated
    copybooks, but it is a host-only parameter so far (not supported
    on windows/linux yet).

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The user generates a copybook from a WSDL file (using DFHWS2LS)
    in RD/z EST running on German windows OS. If the user sets
    workspace text file encoding to UTF-8, the umlauted characters
    will be produced incorrectly in generated copybooks.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHWS2LS is changed to use the text encoding specified in the
    PDSCP setting to produce the copybooks.
