An ENABLE request is issued for a CICS Cloud Application. This
Application includes a BUNDLE resource, and the BUNDLE defines a
LIBRARY resource. During the operation, SET_LIBRARY
processing driven from DFHLDLB3 switches to the RO TCB, to
attempt the enable. At this point it is found that the CICS
region does not have READ access to one or more of the data
sets specified in the LIBRARY resource.
DFHLDLB3 is driven for recovery, and issues trace entry LD8309.
Message DFHLD0748 is visible on the CICS joblog. This is
followed by an abendASRA in EYU0XZPT. This occurs because CICS
remains on the RO TCB, and does not switch back to the original
    TCB.
    .
A similar issue can occur with non-Cloud CICS Bundles (not part
of an Application resource). In this case message DFHLD0747 is
issued, and the ASRA is avoided.
    .

                         LD0748 XZPT

Problem conclusion

  • DFHLDLB3 has been updated to ensure that CICS switches back to
the correct TCB after a failure to open a data set.
