Error description

  • The message DFHMQ0704 is unclear, and it should provide
more information when the CICS-MQ Bridge monitor receives a
ROLLEDBACK response to a SYNCPOINT request.
    .
The CICS/WMQ DPL Bridge is used in a CICS region where
the DPL request is routed via the DTR exit EYU9XLOP.
Task is routed in the first AOR, but it is rejected for routing
to the first AOR. It causes the TCABRPSR "backout required" bit
to be set on. Later, when DFHMQBP2 makes its SYNCPOINT
request, because TCABRPSR is set, the backout logic is driven
and the ROLLEDBACK condition is returned along with message
    DFHMQ0704.

    ****************************************************************
The CICS-WebSphere MQ Bridge issues a SYNCPOINT command, however
a remote system involved in the current unit of work is unable
to commit. As a result the SYNCPOINT command is driven into
rollback and a DFHMQ0704 message is issued. DFHMQ0704 is a
generic message, populated with values that indicate that a
SYNCPOINT command received a ROLLEDBACK response, but no further
    explanation is given.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHMQBP2 has been modified such that if it receives a ROLLEDBACK
response to its SYNCPOINT call, it issues a DFHMQ0793 message
    rather than a DFHMQ0704.

The CICS Transaction Server Version 5 Release 2, CICS Messages
and Codes Vol 1 manual (GC34-7283-00) will be updated as
follows. In Chapter 4. DFH messages - DFH01 to DFHM, a new
message will be added immediately after the description of
message DFHMQ0792I. This new message description will read as
    below.

DFHMQ0793 E date time applid tranid trannum A SYNCPOINT command
was driven into rollback because a remote system was unable to
commit. Any changes made to recoverable resources in the
current unit of work are backed out.

Explanation: The CICS-WebSphere MQ Bridge issued a SYNCPOINT
command, however a remote system was unable to commit. As a
result the command was driven into rollback.

    System action: Processing continues.

User response: Check for associated messages to determine if
the WebSphere MQ message was reprocessed or moved to another
queue. Previous messages may explain why the remote system
    was unable to commit.
