Error description

  • When converting from a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) Pool
    environment to the JVM server model, specifying the Timezone
    (TZ) parameter within the JVM profile has no influence on the
    &DATE and &TIME variables when they are used, for example, in
    the naming of the jvmerr (stderr), jvmout (stdout) and jvmtrc
    files.

    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: &DATE and &TIME within the JVM profile *
    * are always in GMT format for a JVM *
    *                      server.                                 *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    TZ option is set in the JVM profile. There are &DATE and &TIME
    substitutions in the file name of STDOUT/STDERR/JVMTRACE.
    When DFHSJSC parses the JVM profile, it uses gmtime to setup
    &DATE and &TIME substitutions, TZ parameter in the JVM profile
    is not honoured.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHSJSC has been changed to use localtime instead of gmtime to
    setup the &DATE and &TIME substitution strings in the file name
    of STDOUT/STDERR/JVMTRACE.
