Error description
You are running CICS/TS for z/OS R4.2 and are testing using the z/OS command "CANCEL" on a QMGR MSTR address space. In one of the AORs connected to the cancelled QMGR, you encounter the message below: ABEND MQTP--AEXY--DFHMQTRU-6/0004 DFHAP0707 An abend (code 0C1/AKEA) has occurred in task related user exit program DFHMQTRU. The abend happens because there is a wild branch from DFHMQTRU to low core. Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s): KIXREVSLD

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Abend 0C1/AKEA at offset X'FFFFFFFF' in * * DFHMQTRU. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A CICS task uses the WebSphere MQ MQCRTMH API to create a message handle. To process this request, DFHMQTRU calls CSQBCRMH, which CICS loaded when connecting to WMQ. The task then makes a WMQ MQGET request and enters a GETWAIT. Whilst suspended, the connection between CICS and WMQ is force shutdown. This causes DFHMQDSC to be executed. DFHMQDSC releases CSQBCRMH and force purges all tasks which have used WMQ. Task termination processing for the CICS task which previously created a message handle is driven in DFHMQTRU. As there are message handles present, DFHMQTRU attempts to call CSQBCRMH to delete the message handles. However, as CSQBCRMH has been released, the call branches to low core and an 0C1 abend occurs. A system dump is requested, and messages DFHAP0707 and DFHAP0001 are issued. . Additional keywords: msgDFHAP0707 AP0707 msgDFHAP0001 AP0001 pMsgHdlCrt
Problem conclusion
DFHMQTRU has been modified so that if a task is purged whilst in a GETWAIT because the connection between CICS and MQ is broken, then cthd_terminated is set. As a result, no attempt will be made to clean up message handles at task termination time.
