APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The problem is caused by some code added
in DFHPITQ to "escape" the content type. The issue is, that
this code assumes the text  is EBCDIC, in fact it is in UTF-8
encoding, so the escaping code actually corrupts it by
converting unrecognized characters to EBCDIC spaces (0x40).

Local fix

  • modify code in DFHPITQ
