The problem is that field FIELD# (and many others) were sent out with values of all spaces. The fields were received unchanged but the data passed to the application was not spaces. Instead it was as much of the HTML symbol name that would fit within the ADS. The application then does a further SEND MAP leaving the FIELD# field value unchanged. This causes what looks like a symbol name to be displayed on the screen. . Need to investigate DFHWBBMS code to work out why the incorrect data was returned to the application on a RECEIVE MAP command. Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Fields that should contain spaces * * contain fragments of a symbol name. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A transaction is running using the 3270 web bridge. A SEND MAP command is issued for a map containing a field name whose name ends in a '#'. The data for that field is all blanks. When the RECEIVE MAP is issued, DFHWBBMS returns part of the HTML symbol name for this field ( eg: &F07004001 ) instead of blanks.
Problem conclusion
DFHWBBMS has been modified to return the correct field data for fields with names ending in a '#'.
