Error description
During program autoinstall, message domain puts out message: . DFHME0121 The first attempt at formatting message DFHPG0207, TD queue CSPL, has failed - Invalid DBCS format . The DFHPG0207 that should have been produced would have said: . DFHPG0207 Autoinstall for program progname failed. The program name is not valid. . The problem occurs when a task issues an EXEC CICS LINK passing an invalid program name. The invalid name passed on the LINK contains characters that message domain interprets as shift characters, so the DFHME0121 message is issued. DFHPGAI should be corrected to issue the DFHPG0207 message correctly. . Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s): KIXREVRER

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFHME0121 issued when trying to issue * * message DFHPG0207. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** An invalid program name containing DBCS shift out / shift in characters (x0E and x0F) was used on an EXEC CICS LINK command. DFHPGAI issued a message domain call to write DFHPG0207 but this failed with message DFHME0121 because message domain detected an invalid SOSI character within the program name message insert. (The same problem could be encountered for an EXEC CICS XCTL). ADDITIONAL KEYWORDS: PG0227 0227 227 PG0207 0207 207 ME0121 0121 121 double byte character set SOSI single
Problem conclusion
DFHPGAI has been altered to replace SOSI characters with dots (x4B) in the program name being passed to message domain.
