PI53955: CPSM AFFINITY TYPE LUNAME LIFETIME PCONV PERSISTS AFTER TRANSACTION COMPLETES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• You  have a TRANGRP defined with Affinity relationship LUNAME
  Affinity lifetime PCONV.  When you sign on to the routing
  region and enter the transaction, you can see the affinity is
  created.  But when the transaction has ended, the affinity
  still remains active.

  When an affinity is created based on relation LUNAME and
  lifetime PCONV, the affinity is created for the LUNAME and will
  end if the transaction completes without specifying a NEXT
  TRANsaction. However, when the transaction ends, CPSM attempts
  to delete the affinity with out the LUNAME, so the affinity is
  never removed.

  * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this    *
  *                 APAR, all MASes must be restarted.  Note     *
  *                 that the restarts do not need to occur at    *
  *                 the same time.                               *

  UI28841 was delivered to resolve a problem where LUNAME
  affinities with a lifeitme of LOGON were not being terminated
  properly.  A logic error in the code delivered for the PTF
  resulted in causing a similar problem with LUNAME affinities
  that have a lifetime of PCONV and DELIMIT.
  

Problem conclusion

• Methods EYU0WDIN (WDIN) and EYU0WDIS (WDIS) have been updated to
  ensure that LUNAME affinities with lifetimes of LOGON, PCONV and
  DELIMIT are deleted properly.
