APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • You configure a service requester pipeline with secured SSL.
You create web service artifacts (DFHWS2LS), code up a simple
program to invoke the service INVOKE SERVICE URIMAP and it
fails. INVOKE SERVICE URI works fine.
    .
The error table for the URIMAP transaction shows:
    ABEND ---/0999 DFHKETIX 00000992
    PROGRAM_CHECK 0C4/AKEA DFHPITC 0000043E

    PERCOLATE ---/AKEA DFHPIPM2 00004AFE
    .
You see DFHWS-URI then DFHWS-STS-EP followed by a loop with
    DFHWS-BODY until the U0999 abend.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An INVOKE SERVICE URIMAP abends 0999 *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
You setup a requester PIPELINE to include a call to an STS for
it to issue a security token which will get placed in the
outbound SOAP message. An application issues an EXEC CICS
INVOKE SERVICE command specifying the URIMAP parameter.
The transaction loops and it abends with a 999 abend.
The CICS trace shows repeated attempts to append to the
    DFHWS-BODY container.

Problem conclusion

  • The requester routine in DFHPITC is changed to correctly process
the URI length. Also, the routine to process escaped characters
is changed in its calculation of null character positions.
