Error description

  • The system programming interface commands SET, PERFORM, ENABLE,
DISABLE, RESYNC can change resource definitions dynamically. An
incorrect entry can cause the CICS system to fail. When
diagnosing a problem, it is important to know whether resources
were changed. Starting from CICS TS V5.1, some SPI commands
which dynamically change system resources can be audited. When
a system resource is changed by one of the audited SPI
commands, a new message DFHAP1900 is written to a transient
    data queue CADS.
The SPI commands INQUIRE are not supposed to be audited or
generate DFHAP1900 messages. However, you are seeing DFHAP1900
messages when the INQUIRE commands are issued from 64 bit
    applications.

    ****************************************************************
DFHEIG has logic to decide whether or not particular commands
should be audited by DFHAP1900 messages. An erroneous
unconditional jump instruction allows EXEC CICS INQUIRE
commands to produce the audit messages when they should not.
EXEC CICS EXTRACT EXIT commands are similarly affected.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHEIG has been modified to correct the jump instruction logic
and ensure that DFHAP1900 messages are issued appropriately.
