    * are incorrect if its contents are *

If an application puts more than 45 characters of data into the
DFHHTTPSTATUS container then CICS ignores that data and returns
"HTTP/1.1 200 OK" to the client instead.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHPIIS has been changed to truncate the application data to
    45 characters.
The CICS Transaction Server for z/OS
Version 5 Release 2 Web Services Guide SC34-7301-00
Chapter 6. "Creating the web services infrastructure",
will be updated in the section "Control containers"
    to include the sentence:
"If the container contains more than 45 bytes of data
then CICS sends 45 bytes and ignores the remaining data."
    after the paragraph which begins:
    "The DFHHTTPSTATUS container is ignored.."
The same change will be made to the Version 5 Release 3
    manual SC34-7452-00.
