  • A server side EXEC CICS WEB SEND that specifies SRVCONVERT and
mediaType ('plain/text') fails with a DFHWB0002 with code
x'0322' because the source and target CCSIDs are the same.

*                      EXEC CICS WEB SEND CHARACTERSET         *
*                      is the same as the SIT LOCALCCSID.      *
****************************************************************
An application issues EXEC CICS WEB SEND with a CHARACTERSET
which is the same as the SIT parm LOCALCCSID.
CICS tries to convert the sent data.
The conversion routine returns an error and the task is abended.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHWBAP has been changed to detect the situation where the
source and target CCSIDs are the same, and bypass conversion.
