Error description

  • Customer has configured an event adapter to produce HTTP
    messages for event data (CBE and/or CBE Rest) but the generated
    HTTP message includes extraneous characters in the
    <networkapplid> field if the local portion of the applid is
    shorter than 8 characters.

    For example:

    <context-info>
    ,
    .
    <networkapplid>NETWORK.APPLID  @@
    </networkapplid>
    .
    .</context-info>

    In this instance, the actual the trailing
    sequence (space)@@ should not be there.

    * RECOMMENDATION: .                                            *
    ****************************************************************
    A CICS Event is created by a CICS supplied adapter to
    create a Common Base Event (CBE). The XML created has
    incorrect data in the <cics:networkapplid> field and the
    instanceId attribute.
    These fields are a composite value from network ID and APPLID.
    This has been caused because it incorrectly handles a network
    ID that is less than 8 characters. This problem also applies
    to Common Base Event REST format and Decision Server Insights
    Event (DSIE) format.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHEPAS has been changed to construct the field correctly
    regardless of the length of the Network ID.
