Error description
DFHAPLI1 FREES STORAGE EARLY FOR CPSM TASKS
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS Users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFHAPLI1 frees storage early for * * CICSPlex SM tasks that are unable to * * be recovered until task exit. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When a user task calls into CICSPlex SM, an environment is established to allow internal CICSPlex SM method calls to be made. During processing if the CICSPlex SM call fails in a non-recoverable way, CICS will retain the task storage areas acquired for CICSPlex SM processing such that during task exit clean-up of the CICSPlex SM environment will still be possible. CICS detects it should not free the user task storage by checking a flag bit in DFHEISTG. During a recoverable or otherwise normal exit, CICSPlex SM will turn off the flag bit, allowing storage to be freed. Additionally, CICSPlex SM module EYU9XLEV, is built and linked into CICS release dependent modules using a prefix of CJx9XLEV. Where x is a letter denoting the release of CICS. Where the release of CICS and CICSPlex SM libraries are the same, module EYU9XLEV will be used. Module DFHAPLI1 checks include only for modules EYU9XLOP, EYU9XLAP and EYU9XLEV and does not include the CJx9XLEV modules.
Problem conclusion
DFHAPLI1 has been updated to check for CPSM module names that should not have user task storage cleared when the flag bit is set to include a check for CJx9XLEV.
