PI78835: DFHSM0002 A SEVERE ERROR (CODE X'030D') HAS OCCURRED IN MODULE DFHSMGF

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The free QPF chain for the ICE subpool has become corrupt. The
  first byte of the first word of a cell on the free chain has
  been incremented, so that this cell no longer points to the SCA.
  The storage violation trap is active, and storage violations
  have been detected for a task who primary facility is an ICE.
  Additional symptoms:
  You are running with the storage violation trap-
  csfe debug,chkstsk=current
  and it springs.  Later you may see the following:
  DFHSM0002 A severe error (code X'030D') has
            occurred in module DFHSMGF.
  This is occurring on subpool APICE31.
  Similar to PI45278, in that case the storage violation
  trap was no active.
  ICE QPF Invalid FREE cell

  A CICS region is running with CHKSTSK Storage Violation checking
  active. A non-terminal task suffers a violation.
  Storage Manager calls DFHTFIQ to increment a counter in
  TCTTESCV, but the task does not have a TCTTE and has an ICE,
  so a piece of storage beyond the ICE is updated.
  

Problem conclusion

• DFHSMCK has been changed to prevent it from calling DFHTFIQ when
  the task's principal facility is not a TCTTE.
