HOLD MISSING HELD RESOLVING RESOLVER TYPE FMID CLASS APAR SYSMOD SYSMOD STATUS ----- ------- ----- ------- ------- --------- -------- ERROR JCI680D PE FI78951 UI43258 UI47039 MISSING . There was a packaging error with UI47039 as it does not SUP FI78951. Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s): KIXREVEPH supercede PI78951 REL 80D AI78951
Local fix
Per the CICS Change Team, it is safe to add a BYPASS for HOLDERROR(FI78951) as the fix for PI78951 is present in UI47042 (or its equivalent.)
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS Users with UI43258 or UI43263 * * applied. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Error 'Hold reason IDs were not * * resolved' when trying to APPLY UI47039 * * or UI47042. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: . * **************************************************************** When APAR PI67639 was shipped it contained a coding error, this error was corrected by APAR PI78951. However the PTFs UI47039 and UI47042 for APAR PI78951 had a packaging problem which is being resolved by this APAR. The packaging problem would cause a "HOLD REASON IDS WERE NOT RESOLVED. ERROR HOLD FI78951 WAS NOT RESOLVED" error when an attempt was made to apply these PTFs. PI82292 is PEing PI67639 to ensure customers are aware PI82292 is addressing the problem with PI67639. . This error was caused because PTFs UI43258 and UI43263 were marked PE and the Enhanced HOLDDATA for z/OS indicated that the fixer UI47039 or UI47042 had a REASON of FI78951. This implies that the fixing PTF UI47039 or UI47042 should have contained a SUP of FI78951.
Problem conclusion
UI43258 UI43263 CICS PTF builds have been changed to always add a SUP with an FI prefix for Java FMID PTFs.
