PI83810: CICS EXPLORER URIMAP VIEW WEBSERVICE QUICKFILTER NOT WORKING.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using Path as the quick filter it finds all the
  SearchForAsset resources but when using  Web Service  as the
  quick filter nothing is found.
  This is seen in CICS Explorer v5.3.9 and v5.4

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The CPSM API URIMAP and WEBSERVICE      *
  *                      filters are not case-sensitive and      *
  *                      therefore all users of the CPSM API     *
  *                      such as the CPSM WUI and CICS           *
  *                      Explorer are unable to filter on        *
  *                      URIMAPs and WEBSERVICEs correctly.      *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this    *
  *                 APAR, all CMASes must be restarted.  Note    *
  *                 that the restarts do not need to occur at    *
  *                 the same time.                               *
  ****************************************************************
  The URIMAP and WEBSERVICE filters are not case-sensitive in
  the CPSM API and all users of the CPSM API such as the CPSM
  WUI and CICS Explorer are therefore unable to filter in lower
  or mixed-case, i.e. using a WEBSERVICE attribute filter for
  the URIMAP resource table and using a URIMAP attibute filter
  on the WEBSERVICE resource table.
  Given that URIMAPs and WEBSERVICEs can have lower, upper or
  mixed-case names, attempting to apply a filter which
  uppercases URIMAP and WEBSERVICE names can return incorrect
  results.
  Furthermore, it is not possible to obtain a lower or
  mixed-case URIMAP or WEBSERVICE set of results via a resource
  name filter.
  These filters can be used through the CPSM WUI, Explorer or a
  CPSM API program and therefore this problem affects all users
  of the CPSM API including the CPSM WUI and CICS Explorer.
  

Problem conclusion

• The CPSM API URIMAP resource table WEBSERVICE attribute filter
  and the WEBSERVICE resource table URIMAP attribute filter have
  been modified to be case-sensitive.
