    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When you create a new resource via the *
    *                      BATCHREP (batched repository-update     *
    * facility), you may notice that for some *

    * BATCHREP command, CPSM fails to pick up *

    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this *
    * APAR, all CMASes and MASes must be recycled *
    * to pick up the new code. Note that these *
    * regions do not need to be brought down and *
    * restarted at the same time. *
    ****************************************************************
When a resource creation request is received from the BATCHREP
utility, method EYU0XDBX is called to initialize and populate a
table instance for the request. For attributes that have been
provided in the BATCHREP command, it will be set accordingly in
    the table instance.

For rest of the attributes, method EYU0MOTS (MOTS - MOS Table
Services) is called to set each of them to a suitable value
based on the field type. If there is any default value for the
attribute, it will be set properly.

However, for some BINARY attributes, MOTS fails to pick up the
default value when zeros are the legal value.

Problem conclusion

  • Module EYU0XDBX has been updated to pick up the default value
properly for BINARY attributes if they are not explicitly
    provided by the user.
