Error description

  • I created a URIMAP definition using the WUI and when I try to
    install the definition, it fails with the following message:
    .
    EYUBN0005E CREATE failed for URIMAP
    xxxxxxxx (version 1), RESP=16, RESP2LO=410, RESP2HI=17.
    .
    The RESP2HI is signaling that there is a problem with the value
    specified with the PATH attribute. Upon looking at the
    definition, the URIMAP specified USAGE(CLIENT) and used a
    wildcard (*) in the PATH attribute. This is not a valid
    combination.
    .
    This APAR is taken to prevent the WUI for allowing you to
    create a definition with this invalid configuration.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: With CPSM Business Application Services *
    * (BAS), you are able to create URIMPDEF *
    * objects with the following attributes: *
    *                                                              *
    *                        - USAGE(CLIENT)                       *
    *                        - PATH(*)                             *
    *                                                              *
    * When such objects are installed, CICS *
    * fails the EXEC CICS CREATE requests *
    * with the following message: *
    *                                                              *
    *                      EYUBN0005E CREATE failed for URIMAP     *
    *                               xxxxxxxx (version 1), RESP=16, *
    *                               RESP2LO=410, RESP2HI=17.       *

    * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this *
    * APAR, all CMASes, MASes and WUI Servers must *
    * be recycled to pick up the new code. Note *
    * that these regions do not need to be brought *
    * down and restarted at the same time. *
    *                                                              *
    * Additionally, all API programs that access *
    * the URIMPDEF resource table should be *
    * reassembled or recompiled pointing to the *
    * libraries updated by the PTF that resolves *
    *                 this APAR.                                   *
    ****************************************************************
    When URIMPDEF objects are created or updated within Business
    Application Services (BAS), method EYU0BAC9(BAC9 - Create/Update
    URIMPDEF Definition Record) is driven to validate all the
    attributes provided for the URIMPDEF object and perform the
    object creation.

    For URIMAP definitions with USAGE(CLIENT), the PATH attribute
    has to be a complete path for the request, and an asterisk can
    not be used. Unfortunately, BAC9 does not validate this properly
    and allow such objects to be created.

Problem conclusion

  • Method EYU0BAC9 has been updated to validate the PATH attribute
    for USAGE(CLIENT) URIMAP definitions.
