Error description

  • You are connecting CICS TS and CTG over IPIC, and in the
CTG.INI file, you have omitted the APPLID. You are expecting
the IPCONN resource to AUTOINSTALL in CICS TS, and it does so
    and connects successfully.
    .
Displaying the IPCONN via CEMT shows BLANKS for the APPLID
parameter, although you have applied the PTF for PI43275.
    .
The fix for PI43275 rectified cases where the APPLID field was
BLANK by gleaning APPLID information from the 1st CAPEX flow.
With your current environment, the APPLID has not yet been
established at the time of the 1st CAPEX, and hence remains
    BLANK when displayed in CEMT.

Local fix

  • Define the APPLID in CTG.INI

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CEMT INQUIRE IPCONN returns blank *
    * APPLID for an autoinstalled CICS TG *
    * connection when the APPLID is undefined *
    *                      in CTG.INI.                             *
    ****************************************************************
A CAPEX message is sent from CICS TG into CICS to autoinstall an
IPIC connection. DFHISCO is linked to handle the acquire
process. The APPLID is undefined in CICS TG side so an APPLID
will be generated by CICS. DFHISCO fails to update the correct
field in the ISCB with the generated APPLID. This causes a
blank APPLID to be displayed when issuing command CEMT CICS
    INQUIRE IPCONN.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHISCO has been changed to make sure the APPLID can be properly
    displayed.
