PI98832: USER DEFINED MQMONITOR RESULTS IN ERRORS AFTER WARM RESTART

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• CICS is restarted warm and a user defined MQMONITOR is recovered
  from the catalog.  CICS connects to MQ and messages are
  processed as expected, however when the MQMONITOR was recovered
  the address of the implicit CICS defined MQMONITOR, DFHMQINI,
  was set in the MQ global control block even though the MQMONITOR
  was user defined and not DFHMQINI.
  MQ is quiesced closing the connection with CICS.  CICS attempts
  to reconnect and as there is a value for DFHMQINI this MQMONITOR
  is recreated by DFHMQQCN.
  When DFHMQQCN creates DFHMQINI it sets the USERID to the default
  CICS user which can cause DFHXS1111 errors.
  
  This APAR also addresses the following problems:
  
  - When a CICS dump is formatted using the 'mq' option the
  Initiation Queue is blank even when one was specified in the
  MQCONN.
  
  - MQMONITOR resources with names that begin with DFH can be
  discarded.

Problem conclusion

• DFHMQIN has been changed to only set imp_ini if the MQMONITOR
  being recovered from the catalog is DFHMQINI.
  
  DFHMQDUF has been updated to display the Initiation Queue name
  if present.
  
  DFHEIQMQ and DFHMQTM have been modified so that MQMONITORs with
  names that start DFH cannot be discarded.
