    * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: FCTDNUC becomes negative during *
    *                      a non-RLS file open.                    *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The DSN use count can go negative during a DISCONNECT_DSNB call.
    This call occurs during an open file (non-RLS), where the DSN
    that is associated with the respective FCT needs to be
    discarded, and the correct DSNB is used for the open.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHFCDNR has been updated to add an optional parameter,
    DECREMENT_FLAG, to the DISCONNECT_DSNB function call.

    DFHFCDN has been updated to ensure that if DECREMENT_FLAG
    is set to NO that the FCTDNUC decrement is ignored when the
    path is being disconnected.
