Error description

  • When using the CICS Web security analyser, DFH$WBSA, a scan of
the input data may incorrectly scan beyond the end of the data
resulting in an abend0c4 at offset X'5764' in module DFHWBSR.
An alternative symptom may be a long delay or loop as DFHWBSR
scans through large amounts of data searching for an ascii space
    character.

    ****************************************************************
When using the security analyser (DFH$WBSA) for the CICS Web
Server, an abend 0C4 can occur because a search is performed for
'DFHWBSN' or a space in the input data. The search is
incorrectly done in ASCII whereas the data has already been
converted to EBCDIC. Another symptom is a long response time
accompanied with a loop within CICS whilst storage is searched
    for an ASCII space.
    Additional keywords: S0C4 abend0c4 DFHWBSN

Problem conclusion

  • DFHWBSR has been changed in routine wbrq_receive_http_request to
search for 'DFHWBSN' and space in EBCDIC rather than ASCII.
