    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A CICS JVM runs with the LE RTEREUS *
    *                      option in effect.                       *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The Language Environment runtime option RTEREUS is for COBOL
    only. If RTEREUS is specified as an installation wide default,
    then the option is in effect for the LE enclave in which the
    CICS JVM runs. This may cause unpredictable results when running
    CICS Java programs.
    NORTEREUS cannot be specified in DFHJVMRO to override the
    installation default. LE does not allow NORTEREUS to be
    specified as a runtime option on CEEPIPI initialization. Message
    CEE3618I is written to CEEMSG.

Problem conclusion

  • The CICS JVM launchers (DFHSJJLL and DFHSJCSL) have been changed
    to run with the NORTEREUS option in effect.
