When RCF detects that a change of forms is required,
msgDFHRC5479 'SET UP PRINTER xxxx WITH FORMS ffff' is issued.
VSE/POWER prefixes the message with message id 1QZ2A to
highlight the message and prevent it from scrolling off the
console screen. (Unless SET 1QZ2A=OFF has been specified
    POWER startup.)
However, after the operator has replied to the message
with a PGO command, it remains highlighted until the operator
    deletes it manually.
RCF issues the message via a 'send message order' and
VSE/POWER responds to this with an order-response record.
This record contains the console message number in field
PORSMID, so that it can be deleted by RCF. However the RCF
code fails to issue the command to delete the message.
    Additional keywords: PORSFMID msg1QZ2A DOM

Problem conclusion

  • DFHPSPIO has been altered to check if flag PORSFMID is set after
the 'send message' order, issued to send message DFHRC5479, is
responded to by VSE/POWER. If set, the console message number in
field PORSMID will be saved. Then, after CICS has received
a response order from VSE/POWER, it will use the saved message
number to issue a DOM command (Delete Operator Message) to
remove any highlighted DFHRC5479 message from the console.
