Error description

  • After migrating to CICS TS 3.1 you receive message:
    .
DFHLD0107I DFHLDLD1 is unable to locate module DFHSODML in the
LPA. DFHRPL version of module will be used.
    .
This message is also received for CICS programs DFHSOSE and
DFHLEPT and MQ modules CSQCOPEN, CSQCCLOS, CSQCGET, CSQCPUT1 and
    CSQCINQ.
    .
DFHSOSE and DFHSODML are LPA eligible and should have been
included in DFH$UMOD. Additionally, Appendix A of the CICS
Installation Guide needs to be updated to include these 2
programs. (See topic CICS modules eligible for the MVS link pack
    area).
    .
DFHLEPT is not LPA eligible. It appears that DFHAPSI should be
using the LOAD_PRIV routine (rather than LOAD routine) so that
    the PROGRAM_TYPE is PRIVATE.
    .
The code to load the MQ modules is also new to CICS 3.1 (added
for SIBus support). This code has been added to DFHSIH1 and is
prior to installing the GRPLIST which is not done until DFHSII1.
The MQ modules are in group CSQCAT1 and are supplied with
    USELPACOPY(NO). The DFHLDLDM DEFINE_PROGRAM in DFHSIH1 probably
    needs to specify PROGRAM_TYPE (PRIVATE).

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
If a CICS system is started with LPA=YES specified in the SIT,
then the following message is issued by DFHLDLD1:
"DFHLD0107I DFHLDLD1 is unable to locate module DFHSODML in the
LPA. DFHRPL version of module will be used."
Similar messages are issued for modules DFHSOSE, DFHLEPT,
CSQCOPEN, CSQCCLOS, CSQCGET, CSQCPUT1 and CSQCINQ.
DFHLD0107I may also be issued by DFHLDDMI if LPA=YES is
specified in the SIT and definitions for these modules are
found in the CICS local catalog during startup.
Although DFHSODML and DFHSOSE are LPA-eligible, entries for
these modules are missing from DFH$UMOD.
DFHLEPT, CSQCOPEN, CSQCCLOS, CSQCGET, CSQCPUT1 and CSQCINQ are
not LPA-eligible and CICS should not look in the LPA for these
    modules.

Problem conclusion

  • Entries for DFHSODML and DFHSOSE have been added to DFH$UMOD.
DFHAPSI and DFHSIH1 have been changed so that CICS will not
create LPA-eligible definitions for modules DFHLEPT, CSQCOPEN,
    CSQCCLOS, CSQCGET, CSQCPUT1 and CSQCINQ.

Entries will be added for modules DFHSODML and DFHSOSE after the
entry for DFHSNUS in Table 48. LPA-eligible modules in the CICS
Transaction Server for z/OS Installation Guide Version 3 Release
    1, GC34-6426-00, as follows:

Name Description Library LPA/ Pri Size Option/
                                            ELPA Note

DFHSODML SO domain LOAD ELPA 2 263768 -
DFHSOSE SO domain LOAD ELPA 3 23480 -
