Error description

  • When DFHPIPL is processing the soap 1.2 tag it is detected
as being empty and the code jumps to the
leave_pop_soap_12_empty label. However, this label is the
end of a loop which the original code was not part of.
The loop test is made which checks the 13 characters at

When installing a requester pipeline for SOAP 1.2, where the
configuration file contains an empty cics_soap_1.2_handler
element, an abend0c4 can occur. This is due to incorrect branch
logic in routine populate_soap12_node_element in DFHPIPL.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHPIPL has been changed to correct the branch logic within
populate_soap12_node_element so that it does not attempt to
access the next xml element when there isn't one.
