Error description
DFHSM0002 A SEVERE ERROR (CODE X'030D') HAS OCCURRED IN DFHSMGF The reason of SM0002 is QPH chain for LI_PLB contains the TIOA overlay leads to subsequent overlay of QPH. WCC (write control character) is invalid. this causes a QPH to be overlayed with the QPH of another type of storage. :

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFHSM0002 severe error code X'030D' * * in module DFHSMGF. * * Storage overlays can occur when * * sending a BMS map containing extended * * attributes to a 3270 terminal which * * does not support these attributes. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** DFHTPR may in some cases perform a segmented write for a 3270 terminal in error because it is checking the PGA at the end of the output data to see if the page was built using DFHML1, but it is checking the wrong offset in the tioa. (A segmented write should only be performed for page data built using DFHML1). DFHTPR will check for the PGA in the wrong place if the data has been compressed in-situ to remove extended attributes from the datastream which are not supported by the destination terminal. The PGA is assumed to be at the end of the compressed data in the tioa, but it has not been shunted-up along with the data. The code which processes a segmented write assumes that R3 (WORK2) addresses the WCC in the output tioa. It uses R3 to calculate the position in the output buffer into which the data will be copied. However, if the output datastream contains start field extended (SFE) orders (which should only be the case if the page was built using DFHM32) R3 will not address the WCC but will point 3 bytes before the trailing SAA of the output tioa. This causes storage overlays when the data is copied past the end of the output buffer. Additional keywords: MSGDFHSM0002 SM0002
Problem conclusion
DFHTPR has been altered to ensure that the PGA is moved to the end of the compressed data in the tioa. This means that a segmented write will only be performed, as intended, for BMS pages built using DFHML1. In this case there should be no SFE orders included in the datastream, so R3 will still address the WCC in the tioa when the data is copied into the output buffer for the segmented write.
