Error description

  • End of Day statistics report for total Short on Storage times
are reported incorectly. When accumulating times from the SOS
messages in the logs they differ from the total time for SOS
repported in the EOS stats. The field (in our code) that keeps
this count is SM_RESOURCE_DE33.

The time that CICS is short-on-storage as reported by the
statistics utility program (DFHSTUP) is incorrect.  The time is
greater than that reported in the system log by messages
DFHSM0131 and DFHSM0132 or by messages DFHSM0133 and DFHSM0134.

This problem only occurs when the system is SOS across a
statistics INTERVAL collection.

Problem conclusion


    

  • DFHSMST has been changed to reset the start time of the
short-on-storage condition at the start of each recording
interval.
