Error description
A discrepancey occurs when using CEDA VEIEW or DELETE commands. If you enter ceda and either option, and hit enter, the transid is converted to uppercase. But if you enter trans(abcd) seperately (ie. 'ceda view <enter> trans(abcd)' or 'ceda delete <enter> trans(abcd)'), the transid is not converted to uppercase.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CEDA DELETE command entered from * * within CEDA does not uppercase * * keyword values. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A CEDA DELETE G(xxxx) TRANS(abcd) command is entered from within CEDA. Messages S XXXX does not contain abcd and DELETE UNSUCCESSFUL are issued. This is because the transaction attribute value is not being uppercased ( folded ) even though UCTRAN for the terminal is set on. New function introduced at CICS TS 2.3 allows CEDA to decide if uppercase translation is required for commands entered from within CEDA irrespective of the UCTRAN setting. The decision is made by checking the commands function code. Because the DELETE command is one of the function codes not checked uppercase translation is never done. The same error will occur for a VIEW or ALTER command entered from within CEDA. The problem only occurs when the CEDA command is split over more than one screen. Additional keywords: Cedadef
Problem conclusion
DFHCUCA, DFHCUCAN and DFHEIN23 have been changed so all functions codes are now checked. If UCTRAN for the terminal is set ON uppercase translation will take place for all attributes except those that are defined as mixed-case when a resource is displayed.
