  • 5697E9300
FEPI statistics are not taken if CICS is shutdown with the
IMMEDIATE option. EOD statistics should be taken for IMMEDIATE
shutdown. It appears IMMEDIATE will cause DFHSTP to close the
FEPI Adapter prior to calling DFHSTST for function
STATISTICS_COLLECTION to gather EOD stats. This causes response
FEPI_out-of-service when the STATISTICS_COLLECTION call is made.

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

FEPI EOD (End of Day) statistics are not taken if CICS is
shutdown with the IMMEDIATE option. EOD FEPI statistics are
taken for a NORMAL CICS shutdown and should also be taken for
the IMMEDIATE case. For an IMMEDIATE shutdown DFHSTP closes the
FEPI Adapter prior to calling DFHSTST for function
STATISTICS_COLLECTION to gather EOD stats. This causes response
FEPI_out-of-service when the STATISTICS_COLLECTION call is made.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • DFHSTP has been changed for an IMMEDIATE shutdown to collect EOD
statistics before the FEPI adapter is closed.
