Error description

  • The documentation shows the PATHPREF='/s' which should prefix
    the path being used. The path the CD should be using is
    /s/usr/lpp/cicsts/test640/lib/wsdl/DFHWS2LS but in turn it is
    using the specified path without the PATHPREF thus causing
    the EDC5129I to be issued.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Using PATHPREF in DFHLS2WS or DFHWS2LS *
    * may cause the script to fail with *
    *                      message EDC5129I.                       *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When running either DFHLS2WS or DFHWS2LS with a non-blank
    PATHPREF then the script may fail with 'EDC5129I No such file or
    directory.' The problem is that PATHPREF is not being passed as
    a parameter to the scripts DFHLS2WS and DFHWS2LS as documented.
    Within each script is a 'change directory' (CD) command to the
    directory where the scripts have been installed. The PATHPREF
    parameter is not prefixed to this path as expected.
    Additional keyword: MSGEDC5129I

Problem conclusion

  • The supplied JCL in DFHLS2WS and DFHWS2LS has been altered to
    add PATHPREF to the BPXBATCH parameters passed to the DFHLS2WS
    and DFHWS2LS scripts. The scripts have been altered to accept
    the PATHPREF parameter and handle it as documented in the Web
    Services Guide. The SERVICE parameter has also been changed to
    set a default of : (colon).
