    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: MSGDFHSM0002 error X'0305' caused by    *
    * invalid freemain during immediate *
    * close processing of TCPIPSERVICEs *
    * following the loss of TCPIP connections *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    If the TCPIP connections to more than one TCPIPSERVICE are lost,
    for example due to a loss of the TCPIP stack, a manual DROP of
    the connections or an F OMVS, SHUTDOWN command, DFHSOLS will
    receive an EIO or EUNATCH response to the outstanding async
    accept calls for these TCPIPSERVICEs. DFHSOLS will execute part
    of a refstep to reissue the async accept call in error, after
    doing an immediate close of the first TCPIPSERVICE affected.
    This causes the end of the SO Anchor block and the start of
    DFHSOMG to be overlaid, corrupting the subpool token required
    on any subsequent storage manager call to freemain a socket.
    When an immediate close is done for the next TCPIPSERVICE the
    freemain of the socket fails with SM0002 error X'0305'.
    Additional keywords: asynchronous 0C63 0C62 X'0C63' SO0102
                         MSGDFHSO0102

Problem conclusion

  • DFHSOLS has been altered so that ASYNC ACCEPT processing is no
    longer invalidly issued following the immclose processing for
    an EIO or EUNATCH error.
