    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    For some combinations of TEXTLENGTH and the actual length of the
    text in an EXEC CICS WRITE OPERATOR command the text is not sent
    to the console even though the command returns a NORMAL
    response. It is also possible for a line of blanks to be issued
    when the length of the text makes the calculation of TEXTLENGTH
    (length of text) greater than 69 in DFHSUWT.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHSUWT has been changed to remove trailing blanks from the text
    before it is sent to the console. This will ensure that the
    text will be displayed correctly on the console.
