Error description

  • PQ99570 which altered the logic in MCPFTIOA for the benefit of
    the 3270 bridge code. DFHTPR sets up a route list and sends the
    page to the target terminal using BMS TYPE=(STORE,NOEDIT) or BMS
    TYPE=(TEXTBLD,STORE,ERASE) macros when processing the copy
    command. It sets the TIOA address up in TCTTEDA in both case
    (rather than TCAMSIOA), but the disposition will be PAGING
    because of the STORE option. MCPFTIOA will now always use
    TCAMSIOA to get the TIOA address if the disposition is
    store/paging, but for normal BMS macro level processing it is
    also valid to use either TCTTEDA or TCAMSIOA to pass the TIOA
    address for any BMS SEND command.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A PGCOPY command invoked on a CICS *
    * system with full BMS support can cause *
    * an abend (code 0C4/AKEA) in module *
    *                      DFHMCP1$.                               *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    An application is coded with an EXEC CICS SEND MAP command with
    the paging option specified followed by an EXEC CICS SEND PAGE
    command.The application is invoked from a terminal and the map
    is displayed.
    A BMS pgcopy command is then enter into the first input field
    of the map to route the map to another terminal. The copy fails
    and message DFHAP0001 An abend (code 0C4/AKEA) has occurred at
    offset X'FFFFFFFF' in module DFHMCP1$ is issued.
    This is because copy commands entered on a terminal using macro
    level BMS calls get the TIOA from the alternate TIOA area which
    may contain residual data.

    Additional Keywords: TCTTEDA TCAMSIOA ABEND0C4 S0C4 DFHMCP C/

Problem conclusion

  • DFHMCP1$ has been changed so that the TIOA is obtained from the
    correct place for a BMS copy commmand.
