    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An EXEC CICS WEB SEND DOCTOKEN command *
    *                      fails with INVREQ.                      *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    An EXEC CICS WEB SEND DOCTOKEN is issued specifying a zero
    length document with STATUSCODE(204). This is a "no content"
    STATUSCODE. The command works at CICS v2r2 but fails at v3r1
    with INVREQ and RESP2(72). This is because at v3r1, the DOCTOKEN
    parameter is no longer valid with STATUSCODEs 204, 205 or 304
    whereas at v2r2, DOCTOKEN was a required parameter whatever the
    STATUSCODE. The result of this is that the application has to be
    changed between v2r2 and v3r1.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHEIWB has been changed in web_send_server to check for
    document content for statuscodes 204, 205 and 304. If there is
    no document body then the command is treated as though no
    doctoken had been included.
